What We Do
The focus of TROOP 1999 is well rounded. We encourage our Scouts to experience many different aspects of life. The tenets of the Scouting program guide most of our activities, however some of our outings are just for fun.
TROOP 1999 is a boy run troop. That is, the Scouts, with the help of our TRAINED adult leaders, direct, organize and participate in all outings and activities. We believe in the patrol method; teaching our Scouts to work in teams, and encourage continual and consistent achievement toward their next rank, and learning through earning Merit Badges.
TROOP 1999 annual membership fee is $50.00 per Scout. Weekly dues are $1.00. Involvement in fundraising activities earns funds that can be used to offset the annual membership fee or any other Scouting related supplies or equipment.
TROOP 1999 activities include:
- A minimum of (6) Campouts each year, including Summer Camp. The cost per campout is generally $17.00 - $23.00 per person, depending on the type of outing. Tent camping is $17.00 and cabin camping is $23.00. Summer Camp fees are determined each year, based on location.
- (6) Other outings chosen by the Scouts (Cost based upon activity).
